Where the hell is everyone?
Where are all the intelligent folks that made me wanna join?
Indeppth is practically desolate!

Maybe it's just me, but I feel an attack coming on.
And soon.
An attack of the multiple exclamation points.

"johnny depp is so CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!" <------------

Unnecessary, unintelligent, and so NOT indeppth.
I hope that's not the way this site is going.

Thoughts???

intelligent people are all at the offices working or in the universities studying or just out there somewhere living a life. thats why a site like this shoots blanks. our target audience is too intelligent to be on the net at all. ahh the irony....

aahhhhh we have been THROUGH this conversation already. it is up to each on their own if they are in or out.

everyone could write longer articles or make a wide- field quiz or be a spy at some other site for a month and then make a report for Indeppth.

and when it comes to "aaahhhhomgz" people well the critique-free fan girl in them will die when we get our hands on them. happened before.

we have plenty of interesting topics, but we need fresh meat!

you know I even made an essay topic. maybe we should make some sort of a board of directors where newcomers write essays and articles and everyones becomes a depptologist by that except it lasts for like 2 weeks every day a new task....

Well I don't know if I am considered one of the 'intelligent people' or not, but I haven't been posting recently because, in my honest opinion, this place has become a bit to serious, and as a result of that, boring. And I don't think you are going to get much 'fresh meat' if you are all so serious. I am a member of three other Johnny forums, and I feel much more comfortable there than I ever have done here. I'm not a fangirl, I can take Johnny and his films seriously, but I do feel the need to say that just because someone says 'johnny depp is so CUTE!!!!!!!!!!' doesn't make them unintelligent.

I personally do not make any classifications. I would not know which group I would belong, cause despite not being a screaming fangirl I would also not call myself too intelligent. or sane.

too serious? hmm. thats something to think about. maybe I should transport the Timandjohnny picture gallery with goofy captions here from the TBC.

would that make it more enjoyable?

I personally think I cannot judge anyones intelligence through internet but yeah, I think what free meant was the "garbage talk" in between actual sentences and stuff, you know, putting a lot of unnecessary mubo jumbo in the posts that makes it not have sense although it may not be intended that way.

or maybe I am completely wrong here.

one more fun thing is you can go get a dragon egg...I have a topic linking to the lair...

okay, so saying that johnny is cute doesn't make you unintelligent. i just hate all the little'uns that use all the damn exclamation points. it's always been a peeve of mine, even when i was younger. nowadays i see that all those exclamation points are used by young teen girls. so when i said i felt an attack coming on, i meant that i felt like the crazy fan girls were going to invade our fortress of... whatever you wanna call this.

and i don't think we're too serious. we pretend we have a kitchen and a bathroom, for goodness' sake. and doctor gonzo's drugstore?

the only serious place is doctor gonzo's drugstore.

The place needs dedicated members to keep it rolling with constant news updates - for instance - to bring in new deppheads and keep regulars interacting. A little bit more than new threads for new movies. Sadly for the forum, all have very busy lives.

I get around 5 JD google alerts daily for example, which feed my curiosity and keep me in the loop on whatever is happening with the man and his work. The result... I don't feel the urge to check in here everyday.

I haven't posted for a while but I do check in every now and then and I believe this place is addictive and is worth fighting for.

Oh - and hello again Smile

i think we should all take it upon ourselves to do some advertising for this site. say, for instance, if you have a blog you should put something like, "and check out indeppth.com" or send out a bulletin on myspace or facebook or something.

i am starting a youtube channel in a few weeks, so i think i'll make a video and include some shoutouts to this site. that should definitely bring some people here. everyone is one youtube. well, except for me. but i will be soon.

i just really believe in this site, and it makes me sad when it's quiet for long periods of time. i don't want it to fade away!

Advertising will be very much appreciated, thats just what we need. Smile

The site is slow at the moment partly because Google took it down from their search results, for an unknown reason, and haven't put it back there yet although I sent a request for re-evaluation already a few weeks ago. Hopefully they haven't permanently blacklisted it. Confused

Other than that, the forum just doesn't attract new visitors to post for some reason...

okay... so i definitely spent several minutes advertising indeppth on one of my videos. i got one person to join. it must be that buckwriter kid... says he loves john john but he hasn't posted anything yet...
